Deb returned to work yesterday. We had a chance to speak as I passed my condolences to her. Here is what she said to me:
Ohmygosh Mendi, when I took one step into the funeral home I stopped and said, there are THE FLOWERS. And I moved toward them, as did each family member, stunned by their magnificence. Deb was in the hospital once and had THE FLOWERS and she said those were the best of her life. Then she said this tribute to her mother in law, who she adored and she was so deeply touched. She said everyone commented on the wreath. The cascading yellow roses were awesome, she (and everyone attending) said they had never seen anything like this display.
Deb was so grateful, she is a very humble person. Thank you so much for this extraordinary effort.

The next morning at breakfast everyone was gushing. Everything exceeded their expectations, especially the flowers! The arbor was better than she had dreamed, the flower jars hanging from the chairs a real surprise, and she LOVED the flowers on the escort card table! I don't think she realized they were the same ones from the arbor. The reception was supposed to end at 10pm but they asked for another hour and a half and it could have gone past midnight. We got a text from the airport as they were waiting for their flight to Thailand again saying how perfect everything was. I think the flowers set the style and created a more intimate space for them. YOU ARE DEFINITELY OUR #1 FLORIST!!!!

Oh myI love, love, love them! The arrangements are exquisite the flowers are breathtaking and along with the containers are so me. Yellow roses are one of my favorite flowers! I am just speechless which as you could tell from our telephone conversation is not one of my attributes.

Our daughter, Amanda was thrilled with the arrangement! She posted a picture on Facebook and captioned it "Who needs a Valentine when you have two amazing parents? Flowers from my mom & dad :D".
In the past year she lost her job due to a slow down of the economy (in Kansas City), ended a 5-year dating relationship (that was rocky for the better part of the five years) and went through having to move in with her brother while unemployed. In the last couple of months she has landed a new job in St. Louis, is starting over again in trying to meet new guys and restart her "life" over again. She recently went out with a guy she met through eHarmony but he disappeared off the radar last week. So I guess what I am saying is that you did a wonderful job, the arrangement was beautiful and it lifted her spirits today!

Sometimes, we have expectations that are so completely surpassed
that we are at first speechless and then giddy and euphoric!
Scott's centerpieces for Chaminade's Centennial Gala were
delivered to Kemp Auto Museum on Saturday morning while our
Gala committee was setting up. I have complete faith in Scott; I
think he's like a floral design god - but the centerpiece budget we
had to work with was unrealistically tight. When the delivery
man started to wheel the arrangements in everyone's jaw dropped!
The centerpieces were gorgeous; creamy hydrangeas and lush red
roses in glossy black vases - absolutely perfect for Chaminade"s
Centennial.
Scott completely exceeded our expectations and the arrangements
were raved about by our guests.

I wanted you to know that that the flowers you sent for my grandmothers funeral are still providing me comfort. My grandmas favorite color was pink and my absolute favorite flowers in the world are the Esperance rose and peonies. You couldnt have made a better selection! My garden is full of peonies & I look forward to them blooming every spring. Ill enjoy their bloom even more now that Ill associate them with the memory of my grandma.
We received so many comments on the flowers at the funeral home. The Director said it was the most beautiful arrangement hes ever seen. Both of my aunts and my cousins took a rose as a keepsake. My two sons picked two flowers and were drying them so they can be made into a rosary.
My grandma was very dear to me. Because my mother was young when she had me and tragically died early, my grandma was my second mother. Thank you for helping me honor her memory. Ill stop by the store when I get the rosary. I think it takes about six weeks. Hopefully, that will give me enough time that I dont end up weeping when I see you ;)

Judy loved everything!!!
They are going to shoot either Monday or Tuesday late afternoon. Thus, they will have the "perfect light coming through the plants." lol. Trying to time it so all these damn bulbs are blooming at the same time. Love my new purse for the barn door. Perfect and I am not even a true red or geranium fan. Amazing.
